When applying the word to art, drawing can have different meanings. These include the following definitions:

• A picture or representation
• Producing a picture
• A picture made with pencil or pen
• A picture by making lines or marks

Which one has the right definition? All of them. Drawing is the action of making an image with certain writing instruments, to share a representation or interpretation of a particular subject.

This visual art form has been around for a very long time, and, into today, remains the most produced image technique around the world. Yet, there are numerous drawing styles out there. Reasons being from different cultures, experiences, perspectives and reactions.
